Megan Lynne Young is Miss World-Philippines 2013:A Well-Deserved Win!

Miss World-Philippines 2013: Megan Lynne Young

Megan Young with her First Princess Janicel Lubina.
I am very well-pleased with the pageant's result despite of the tedious and lengthy advertisement gaps on its delayed telecast aired in GMA 7 last night. Madame Cory Quirino and her team had done an excellent job crowning the most prepared and the most beautiful lass who triumphantly aced every segment of the competition with flying colors. Seldom do I see it on the national beauty search in which the most favored girl yet well-deserved to win it, walked away with the most coveted crown. And twenty-three year-old Filipino-American actress and tv host, Megan Lynne Young whose been the majority's favorite even before the pageant had started did very well in achieving and even surpassing her followers' expectations. With her top-notched performances and elegantly modest persona, she was visibly miles ahead from her co-competitors, sweeping away almost all of the special awards of the night that even the so called pageant veterans including the current Miss Bikini Philippines and 2012 Miss Scuba Philippines titleholder Janicel Lubina failed to outshine her.

With barely a month of preparation for the upcoming Miss World beauty pageant which will be held in Indonesia come September, the 5'8'' mestiza stunner is the excellent choice to don the sash of the Philippines in its campaign to win its first Miss World crown. Notable personalities who made a mark and almost clinched the prestigious title were Evangeline Pascual (1973 Miss World First Princess), Sharmaine Ruffa Gutierrez (1993 Miss World Second Princess), Mafae Yunon (2003 Miss World Top 5 Finalist), Maria Karla Bautista (2004 Miss World Top 5 Finalist) and the latest victor Gwendolyn Ruais (2011 Miss World First Princess). Will Megan Lynne Young be the first ever lucky Filipino to be named as the Philippines' very first Miss World? Does she have what it takes to finally bring home the most elusive blue crown? What are her chances, dear readers?
