And Our Miss World 2013 is...Megan Young from the Philippines!

Twenty-three year old actress/host-turned-beauty queen Megan Young from the Philippines has just been proclaimed as Miss World 2013 at the end of the glittering grand finale staged in Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center,Bali, Indonesia. Megan Young bested 126 other candidates from around the world and made a historic win of being the first Filipino to have clinched the blue crown for the Philippines as well as in the South-East Asian region.

Completing her royal court is Marine Lorphelin of France as first princess, and Carranza Shooter of Ghana as second princess. Other delegates who made it in the final top five were Sancler Frantz of Brazil and Elena Ibarbia Jimenez of Spain while the winner of the People's Champion award, Maroua Kharbouch of Gibraltar was given the spot as the 6th finalist.

Misses Australia, Nepal, England, Indonesia, and Jamaica comprised the Top Ten.

Leading pageant sites and pageants' experts have accurately predicted Megan Young to bring home the top plum. In its 63rd edition, the Philippines has finally won its first Miss World crown. With Megan Young's victory, the Philippines is by far, the first country in the world to have won all grandslam beauty titles.
