Beauty in Focus: Yvethe Marie Santiago, Binibining Pilipinas-Supranational 2014

Binibining Pilipinas-Supranational 2014 Yvette Marie Santiago must be in the thick of training these days as she will fight tooth and nail for a back-to-back mission in Poland to clinch the Miss Supranational crown currently on the head of her fellow Binibini, Mutya Johanna Datul. Although bringing home the top prize seemed to be a prodigious goal, I firmly believe that this Bicolana beauty has what it takes to surmount and hurdle such a colossal assignment. Here's why:

1. Modelesque stance. Yvette looks so towering at 5'8" as she's endowed with a slender and well-proportioned frame. She could stand head-to-head with the fiercest glamazons (especially if she'd be wearing the elevator shoes, which I'm certain she would) and with her riveting charm, she could easily shine through!

2. Certified 'Rampadora'. She already had a striking catwalk skills in her bag and it'll be at its finest as she's under the tutelage of Aces and Queens, the beauty camp behind the country's four-peat Miss Universe achievers who rocked the Miss Universe stage with their distinctive ramp acrobats. Exceptional presentation skills and commanding stage presence are just vital to win the judges' nod.

3. Beauty with brains. She would be a great ambassador of the organization! Seldom you can find a stunning lady with a commendable academic records to match her beauty. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Accountancy at Bicol University with Cum Laude honors, and having been able to ace the national licensure examination leading to a Certified Public Accountant post added more glistening feathers to her cap. Although having an excellent scholastic background is not a guarantee to win the title, it'll definitely be an outstanding edge over the other girls in the competition.

4. Strong sash factor. As what the reigning Miss Universe Gabriella Isler of Venezuela had spoken during her interview, Philippines is a huge country in the world of pageantry. Being hailed as the Country of the Year for two consecutive years in the global beauty tilt and the only country so far to complete all the grandslam beauty crown collections, the girl wearing the sash of the Philippines will surely never go unnoticed, much more to a girl with such a world-class caliber like Yvette.

5. Determined Personality. Apart from earning a degree capped with Latin honors, she also had a string of regional beauty titles under her belt before winning the national crown. She's Miss Bicolandia 2012 and Mutya ng Magayon 2011 first runner-up. She's definitely an achiever on her own and I'm pretty certain that she'll never leave any stone unturned to make sure she'll get what she wants this December - a back-to-back Supranational victory!

**The 6th edition of Miss Supranational 2014 will be staged on the 5th of December this year at the Miejski Osrodek Sportu i Rekreacji in Krynica-Zdroj, Poland. Philippines' pride Mutya Johanna Datul will crown her successor at the end of the event.
