Koh Larn: An Island-Paradise Near Pattaya

words by Edgar Petallo

If you're looking for a an unspoiled beach paradise setting, not so far away from the bustling city resort of Pattaya, then Koh Larn (Coral Island) is the most idyllic place to visit. Its enchanting mountainous terrain standing proudly over the turquoise-colored cool waters and luminous powdery white sand shorelines, is definitely one of the most breathtaking sceneries you can experience.

Koh Larn which is 4 km in length, has five stunning beaches you could choose from: Naul Beach, Samae Beach, Tawaen Beach (most visited), Tien Beach and Tonglang Beach all of which are equipped with the necessary facilities like shower/bathrooms, small tourist shops, restaurants and even budget rooms to luxurious accommodations.

Koh Larn is located approximately 7km off the coast of Pattaya, with 30 Thai Baht one-way fare (as of this writing) in a 40-minute ferry ride, so basically it's very affordable to get here. The ferry leaves from Bali Hai Pier (situated at the end of the Walking Street) daily from 7:00 am until 6:30 pm while the 'return ferry' leaves Koh larn's Na Ban Beach from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.

The gentle sounds of the ocean breeze as well as the island's splendid panoramic views and laidback, relaxing atmosphere would surely pamper your innate senses and give you the most sought-after ambiance of tranquility and serenity.

Here a passion for an unforgettable beach experience and the wonderful privilege to unwind and relax without spending an arm and a leg is unwaveringly abundant.
