I haven't posted Bea's triumphant stint in Tokyo, Japan last year where the 53rd annual Miss International beauty pageant was held. So at this point of time please allow me to relive her winning moments and rekindle her glorious journey towards the crown.

Gorgeous Bea in sizzling-hot two-piece red bikini. Pre-arrival glamshot photo.

Among the 67 delegates vying for the top plum, Bea with her impressive communication skills and not to mention her clasically-ravishing persona and distinctly regal strides was exceptionally a stand out. Needless to say, she was the crowd's favorite to win and had always been tagged by the pageant critics as the one to beat.

Bea clad in her national costume. With all honesty, the terno she wore during the national finals was way more fabulous and captivating than this piece of garb.

Beautiful Bea breathes class and elegance as she sashays onstage during the swimwear competition.

The gown perfectly suits her. Classic and regal personified!

Bea in her winning form. A real stunner!
Despite being pegged as the unanimous choice to wear the coveted crown, such flattering compliments didn't loosen her guard and her grip in clinching the 5th Miss International title for the Philippines was even more intense and inspiring. She reiterated in her interviews on how much she prayed all throughout the competition and even encouraged the other Latinas (who were her fiercest competitors) for a group prayer that they may not stumble down on stage and successfully represent their respective countries with grace. To begin with, she was already a strong force to be reckoned and yet still she humbly turned to God  for spiritual strength and guidance. Her confidence never translated into arrogance and she remained steadfast and focused to her goal. At end of the glittering ceremony her unflinching faith and unparalleled tenacity were greatly rewarded with a resounding victory!

The heartwarming speech which sealed her the crown.

Epic winning reaction. She just
couldn't believe she won!
Bea currently holds the record as the 5th Filipino titleholder of Miss International. She dedicated her win to all the Filipinos who have been ravaged by the Supertyphoon Hayan. During the 30-second final speech round, she was misty-eyed as she uttered with such heartfelt words on how much the Philippines has been so enormously-grateful for all the support and assistance from countries who have generously extented a helping hand, that through a spirit of sympathy and a spirit of hope, we could still work together and be united as one even in the midst of hardest times and despair.

Bea's grand homecoming. A kiss of victory!

Asia's beauty pageant powerhouse has five Miss International winners to date: Gemma Cruz (1964), Aurora Pijuan (1970), Melanie Marquez (1979), Precious Lara Quigaman (2005) and the reigning queen Bea Rose Santiago (2013). Philippines is just one crown away behind the mighty Venezuela!
