Miss Grand International 2014 Best In National Costumes: My Personal Pick

Miss Grand Vietnam - Cao Linh

And my personal choice for this year's Miss Grand International Best in National Costumes are as follows:

1.Vietnam - Cao Linh
2.Philippines - Kimberly Karlsson
3.Nicaragua - Maria Alejandra Gross Rivera
4.Paraguay - Gisella Sotomayor
5.Pakistan - Laila Khan
6.Thailand - Parapadsorn Disdamrong

I was actually rooting for the host country to take the spotlight in showcasing a splendidly grandiose traditional attire. As we all know, the Land of Smiles has always been known for creating an eye-catching masterpiece and the fact that the pageant is staged in her homesoil, I thought I could expect for more. Nonetheless, the national costume that Parapadsorn had presented isn't that bad, but it isn't superb enough to emerge as the ultimate best among the six best national costumes that I have personally picked. Vietnamese belle, Cao Linh, occupied the top of my list with her regal-looking 'Ao Dai'. Philippines' Kimberly Karlsson nabbed the second spot with her T'boli-inspired ethnic dress followed by the flamboyantly sultry tribal outfit worn by Nicaragua's Maria Alejandra Gross Rivera.Needless to say, I couldn't get my eyes off from the gorgeous countenance of Paraguay's Gisella Sotomayor who is scantily clad in a colorful and shimmering native ensemble while the Pakistani beauty Laila Khan though covered from head to foot was still able to pull off an adorably mystifying vibe with her country's traditional 'Shalwar Kameez' and the hometown girl from Thailand came last donning her mythical-inspired national garb.
