Miss World Philippines 2014 Comes Home in Albay

Miss World Philippines 2014 Valerie Weigmann waves to the adoring crowd during her homecoming victory parade in Legazpi City, Albay.
A press conference was held for the victorious stint of Valerie Weigmann in Miss World Philippines 2014. Seated right next to her is Madame Cory Quirino, MWP's national director.

A grand hero's welcome awaited the newly-crowned Miss World Philippines 2014 Valerie Weigmann when she returned home in her mother's birthplace in Legazpi City, Albay. She was met with jubilant cheers and love from her fellow Bicolanos whose welcoming spirit and joy in seeing their Queen were not dampened by the uncooperative weather and intermittent showers of rain.

Garbed in dark blue gown with her sash and the ruby-studded crown on her head, Valerie waves and blows kisses to her fellow Bicolanos as she was carried on a float bedecked with native Bicol fan.

After her scheduled press conference, the purpose-driven Queen went on without delay to spread love and cheers as she distributed relief goods to the Mayon evacuees in Camalig and Daraga Evacuation Centers.

The spirit of her advocacy truly lives on wherever she goes. A hallmark of what a real Beauty Queen should be. Valerie is set to leave for London, England in just a matter of weeks from now for the Christmas-themed edition of Miss World 2014. May God Bless her a hundred fold in her journey that she may win the bejewelled blue crown presently on the lovely head of her fellow compatriot Megan Young.

Beauty with a purpose in action. Valerie distributes some relief
goods to the evacuees in Daraga and Camilig. People living in the danger
zone area near Mt. Mayon were asked to evacuate in the Evacuation
Centers in Daraga and Camilig after lava started flowing from Mt. Mayon a few days ago.

Valerie Weigmann poses behind the century-old bell tower and the legendary Mount Mayon in the province of Albay.

The beauty that calms the raging Mount Mount. The active volcano is known for its perfect cone shape
and scenic beauty.
Valerie leans on with the bell tower from behind. The ancient tower was part of the church that was destroyed when the volcano erupted many years ago.
