Miss World 2014: Philippines' BWAP Enters Top 27!

Good News from Miss Philippines!

Valerie Weignmann who is currently in an uphill battle for a back-to-back Miss World crown recently announced her inclusion in the Top 27 beauties who were chosen (out of 124 aspirants) to present their respective BWAP to the panel of judges which include MW's matriarch Julia Morley.

BWAP or Beauty with a Purpose Project is the heart and the core mission of the Miss World organization. It is also one of the major point-earning fast tract challenges that can guarantee the winning delegate a coveted spot in the finals. Here the contenders would present to the panel of judges about their humanitarian projects from their respective countries, which is mainly a charitable advocacy that makes a difference as well as brings out a positive change in the community.

Musikaramay is our bet's BWAP entry which helps the indigenous Aeta tribes in the Philippines. And for the record, (if my memory serves me right), I think Valerie is by far, the first Filipino representative to Miss World whose been shortlisted as one of the top contenders for the Beauty with a Purpose Program. I'm wishing Valerie and the rest of the delegates a shower of luck in the competition. May the best girl with the sincerest heart wins!

*The Top 5 Beauty with a Purpose Projects will be announced on the Charity Gala.
