Binibining Pilipinas 2017: Meet the Winners

The newly-crowned Binibining Pilipinas 2017 winners. 

The 6 Binibinis who will be the country's delegates for the 6 international beauty pageants overseas this year have just been crowned during the gallant coronation night last Sunday. Along with their respective crowns are the responsibilities in continuing the Philippines' winning streak in the beauty derbies abroad. Now, let's meet them one by one. 

Binibining Pilipinas-Globe 2017 Nelda Ibe is crowned by Nichole Manalo, last year's winner and Miss Globe 2017
3rd Runner-up. 

Binibining Pilipinas-Globe 2017 - Nelda Ibe. She is cadet pilot and has already completed her first solo flight before joining Binibini. This 5'8'' beauty from Tarlac will be the country's representative to the Miss Globe 2017 pageant. Nelda is aiming for a second Miss Globe crown for the Philippines after Ann Colis' victory in 2015.

Binibining Pilipinas-Intercontinental 2017 Katarina Rodriguez is crowned by her predecessor Jennifer Hammond and Miss Intercontinental 2017 Top 15 finalist. 

Binibining Pilipinas-Intercontinental 2017 - Katarina Rodriguez. She is a college student with a double major in Business Management and Philosophy at De La Salle University and a former Asia's Top Model Cycle 2 Second runner-Up. She will be competing this year at the Miss Intercontinental 2017 pageant which might probably be staged in Germany. 

Binibining Pilipinas-Grand 2017 is Elizabeth Clenci crowned by Miss Grand International 2017 First Runner-up Nicole Cordoves

Binibining Pilipinas-Grand 2017 - Elizabeth Clenci. She is a musician and a bassist for three years now. This 5'6'' beauty who hails from Mandaue city will represent the Philippines in the 5th edition of Miss Grand International 2017 in Vietnam. She is aiming to win the very first MGI crown for the Philippines after Nicole Cordoves' First Runner-Up finish last year.

Binibining Pilipinas-Supranational 2017 is Chanel Olive Thomas. 

Binibining Pilipinas-Supranational 2017 - Chanel Thomas. She competed last 2015 at the Miss Philippines-Earth pageant where she placed second to Angelia Ong. Chanel who is half Australian will wear the Philippines' sash for the Miss Supranational 2017 pageant and vie for the Philippines' second Miss Supranational crown after Mutya Datul's first victory in 2013.

Binibining Pilipinas-International 2017 is Mariel de Leon crowned by Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa

Binibining Pilipinas-International 2017 - Mariel de Leon. She is the daughter of showbiz couple Christopher de Leon and Sandy Andolong. Mariel completed her cooking course in New Zealand and she is currently an Opera singer in Philippine Opera Company. Among the binibinis this year, Mariel has the most difficult mission as she will be competing at the Miss International 2017 pageant where her fellow binibini Kylie Verzosa is the reigning queen. Mariel will aim for a 7th Miss International crown for the Philippines. 

Miss Universe Philippines 2017 is Rachel Peters crowned by Miss Universe 2016 Top 6 finalist Maxine Medina.

Miss Universe Philippines 2017 - Rachel Peters. She graduated from La Trobe University in Australia with a degree in Business, Tourism and Events and has organized events for the international artists (which is her family business). Prior to that, she completed her International Baccalaureate in a British International School in Phuket, Thailand. Rachel who is trained under the Kagandahang Flores beauty camp will banner the sash of the Philippines in this year's Miss Universe pageant and will try to score a 4th win for the Philippines.
