Miss Earth 2017 Spotlight: Faith Landman of the Netherlands

Faith Landman of the Netherlands during the resorts wear competition (group 1) of Miss Earth 2017.

Faith Landman, Netherlands' bet in the ongoing Miss Earth 2017 is gaining momentum as the competition progresses. This 20 year-old Dutch model has an uncanny resemblance with Miss Universe 2002 Oxana Fedorova of Russia and Miss Universe 2005 Natalie Glebova of Canada (who is of Russian descent). If Faith will play her cards right, she has so much potentials in clinching an elemental crown, if not, the coveted Miss Earth 2017 title come coronation night.

WHAT MAKES YOU PROUD OF THE COUNTRY YOU ARE REPRESENTING?

"Being part of this event made me realize that the Netherlands is already for many years trying to reduce our ecological footprint. In all our cities we enforce every family to separate our waste. We also have national days where school children go out and collect garbage. All electrical products, glass and plastic bottles are collected for recycling or re-use. Our government is also stimulating families to switch to solar and wind energy for their own house. Besides that a Dutch student Boyan Slat started the Ocean Cleanup. The Netherlands is one of the most high-tech countries in the world and because of this we can come out with these initiatives. All these initiatives makes me proud to be here and represent our country as Miss Earth."  - Faith Landman
