Paweensuda 'Fahsai' Drouin of Thailand won the Miss Hannah's Beach Resort Special Award contested recently in Hannah's Beach Resort in Pagudpod, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Venezuela's Ninoska Vasquez was adjudged as First Runner-Up while Ecuador's Lessie Giler was awarded Second Runner-Up.

Fahsai excelled during the question and answer portion when asked about the relevance of being a beauty queen in terms of having a successful life. The Thai-Canadian beauty articulated that having an intelligent mind and being able to use such intelligence to inspire and motivate people is much more important, such as in the case of Miss Earth where in she promotes environmental awareness and inspires people to treat Mother Earth like an extension of their home. Her eloquence impressed the judges thus winning the Special Award.

It can be recalled that the recent Miss Earth winners from 2013 (Alyz Henrich of Venezuela), 2014 (Jamie Herrell of Philippines) and 2016 (Katherine Espin of Ecuador) were also recipients of the said award. Does this mean that Fahsai is the 'anointed one' to be the next Miss Earth queen?

The Miss Earth winners of 2013 and 2016 were all
recipients of the Miss Hannah Beach Resort Special Award,
which is one of the major sponsors of the Miss Earth
